Welcome to KFC -
Kingdom for Christ Ministries
How We Got Started
KFC - Kingdom for Christ Ministries is a 501 (c)(3) nonprofit Christian organization dedicated to feeding the homeless in Spokane. Evangelist Louis Bonds became homelessness in 2006. In 2016 he prayed and told Jesus that, should he ever escape this trap, he would dedicate the rest of his life to feeding the homeless. In 2016 Mr. Bonds turned his life around and became a chaplain at Union Gospel Mission, Tucson, AZ. At that time, he began planning a strategy to make good on his promise to God.
Cynthia Bonds began her ministry almost ten years ago in Spokane. She noticed that there were parents who were not able to provide food for their children. She began feeding them and the children were guaranteed one hot meal a day. At that time Mrs. Bonds also began a food pantry in the basement of Bethel AME Church, Spokane, WA, distributing food every Thursday.
In 2016 Mr. Bonds moved to Spokane to marry his wife, Cynthia. They merged their ministries and began feeding homeless people on the street. They were joined by other volunteers and in 2021 became established as a 501 (c)(3) nonprofit in Washington State as KFC-Kingdom for Christ Ministry.
This ministry feeds over 100 people every Sunday. Food is donated on a weekly basis. Spokane Valley Veterans Thrift Store has generously donated space in front of their store every Sunday for meal service. Donations of food and volunteer help are welcome, as are monetary donations to supply gas for donation pickups, plates, cutlery, and other food service items. In the future this ministry plans to increase service to include social assistance.
We welcome cash donations to offset costs of gas to secure donated items, cutlery, disposable dishes, annual website renewal costs (designs and update are donated.) We receive no salaries. 100% of your donations are used for our work.

How We Get It Done
We give a HUGE thanks to Spokane Valley Veterans Thrift Store for allowing us to use the space in front of their store every Sunday for our meals. And we give a HUGE thanks to our donors who provide the meats, vegetables and desserts.

Volunteering Opportunities
We are an all volunteer organization and welcome those who would like to donate their time serving on Sunday. Please email or message us.
We are in need of cash and/or gas cards to support our driver as he picks up our food at various locations. We need big and little plates (dine in and to go), cutlery, napkins, cups, coffee, creamer, sugar.
If you would like to donate, please bring these items to our Sunday meals at Spokane Valley Veterans Thrift Store, 12213 E Trent, Spokane Valley, WA. Or, email us and we will be happy to come and get them.
